ABOUT US

Love God, Love People, and Serve the World.

Our vision is to be a community of believers who Love God instinctively,
Love People
unconditionally, and Serve the World continually.

It is our goal to grow in our faith through worship services, Sunday school classes,
LifeGroups, Wednesday night classes, and service inside and outside the church
so we can become more like Christ in our daily lives.

Church of the Nazarene

Gtown Naz is a part of the Church of the Nazarene, the largest Protestant Christian denomination in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Organized in 1908, the Church of the Nazarene is now home to 2.7 million members worshiping in over 31,000 local congregations in 164 world areas. The distinguishing belief of Nazarenes is that of entire sanctification, the belief that God calls Christians to a life of holy living.

Pastor Mike Justice

Lead Pastor - mjustice@gtownnaz.org

Mike is a Buckeye from Ohio, but we don't hold that against him--much. He and Lois, his wife, met in college at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and have been married for 29 years. They have two kids: Drew, who lives and works in Bowling Green, Ky, and Emily, who lives and does ministry with her husband, Hunter, in Lement, Il.

Mike was a Youth Pastor for over 20 before becoming our Lead Pastor in January 2010. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Religion, a Master's Degree in Divinity, and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Pastor Mike's passion is developing disciples who make disciples--he loves to help people make the next step in their spiritual journey to Christlikeness. As well as being our Lead Pastor, Mike serves our community as the Chaplain for the Scott County Sherrif's Office. In his "down time," Mike loves to fish, hunt, golf, play softball, and read. He has a '57 VW Bug that he hopes to restore soon, too.
