Mike is a Buckeye from Ohio, but we don't hold that against him - much. He and Lois met in college at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and have been married for 27 years. They have two kids: Emily, who's a freshman at Olivet Nazarene University, and Drew, who's a senior in high school.
Mike was a Youth Pastor for over 20 before becoming our Lead Pastor in January 2010. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Religion, a Master's Degree in Divinity, and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Mike's passion is developing disciples who make disciples - he loves to help people make the next step in their spiritual journey to Christlikeness. As well as being our Lead Pastor, Mike serves our community as the Chaplain for the Scott County Sheriff's Office. In his "down time," Mike loves to fish, hunt, play sports, coach sports, and read. He has a '57 VW Bug that he hopes to restore soon, too.
