In this past year we have truly seen God working in miraculous ways. He has continued to bless us individually and as a church as we have continued to be faithful to Him. As we have been blessed, we have been able to bless others in our community. This has helped us impact many people in our community for the sake of His kingdom.
With the effects of the global pandemic lingering, one of the largest impacts on families in our area has been financial. In response to this very real need, our church leadership believes God has called to us to be His hands and feet by having Operation: Give-It-Away. We will be giving away all regular tithes and offerings collected on November 7th, as well as all funds that come in designated to “Operation: Give-It-Away” over the month of October.
We will have nomination forms in the church office and lobby for you to complete to nominate someone to receive Operation: Give-It-Away funds. We invite you to nominate folks with whom you have contact who are experiencing financial difficulties. We will do our best to help each of these families in some way, by utilizing all funds collected for Operation: Give It Away.
There are a few things we need from you:
First, and most importantly: PRAY. Pray for this entire ministry opportunity. Pray for those who are submitting nominations for assistance on behalf of those in need. Pray for those who will be receiving assistance. Finally, pray for what God would have you give to this ministry – no gift is too small!
Second, LOOK around you. Do you see anyone who could use a blessing right now? Is it a family member, a coworker, or an acquaintance? You may download a nomination form from our website or pick one up in the office; then complete it and return it to the office no later than Sunday, November 7th.
Lastly, GIVE as you are called and able. You may give any time from now thru November 7th, either in increments or in one lump sum. We have added an option to the online giving form to designate funds to Operation: Give-It-Away – again, no gift is too small!
In Acts 20:35 we are told, “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” We believe this truth, and we are excited to see how God will take our gifts and use them to bless the lives of people in our community.
Please contact the church office with any questions you may have regarding Operation: Give-It-Away.
