A woman in our church called the church office requesting for prayer for a woman named Lou-Ann. Lou-Ann has recently been diagnosed with throat cancer. She is addicted to smoking and is being forced to stop by this Saturday. Lou-Ann overheard a conversation the woman in our church was having about successfully quitting smoking by using electronic cigarettes. This gave Lou-Ann a glimmer of hope as she motioned the lady over to speak to her. Lou-Ann is no longer able to speak due to the throat cancer, but she was very interested in hearing what this woman had to say. The lady in our church was not only able to share how she has successfully stopped smoking cigarettes, but that it was Christ working in her who was giving her the strength to keep moving forward. Continue to pray for Lou-Ann as she battles the stress of cancer and addictions. Pray that God gives her strength and hope in the midst of her circumstances. May we all come to see that God is right here with us through our circumstances. May we see that He is Immanuel. |
